The September 23 episodes of “AEW Dynamite” and “AEW Collision” were the finals stops for the stars of All Elite Wrestling on the road to AEW All Out 2026 on September 26, but one person who wanted to make sure they got their moment in Chicago was Persephone as she issued an open challenge to the wrestling world.
After successfully defending her AEW TBS Championship against Hyan on “Dynamite,” the champion cut a promo alongside Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D stating that she wanted to continue proving why she is one of the best wrestlers in the world, and issued an open challenge for her TBS Championship for this Saturday at All Out. Persephone joked that Maya World couldn’t answer the challenge as she is not medically cleared, and noted that neither Hyan or Thunder Rosa could answer it either as she called both women “pathetic.” However, Hyan and Rosa will get their chance to get revenge on both Persephone and Baker as they will meet in a tag team match on the September 30 episode of “Dynamite.”

As far as who could potentially answer Persephone’s challenge, the entire AEW women’s roster has the chance to step forward. However, there are a number of free agents and potential new signings who could also make a big splash in AEW by debuting against Persephone.
Former TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Champion Dani Luna has reportedly signed for the company and is ready to make her debut for the company. Another former TNA Knockout in Mara Sade is also set to become “All Elite” in the coming weeks if she hasn’t signed for the company already, which was implied on Sade’s official website. Then there is former WWE Superstar Kairi Sane, who has been a free agent for a number of weeks after her non-compete clause expired during the summer. There have reportedly been talks between Kairi and AEW in recent weeks, though there has been no news on whether she will join the company or make a one-off appearance.
