AEW has found itself a new broadcasting home in Japan as a new streaming deal will begin later this year.
In an official press release issued by All Elite Wrestling, Hulu Japan will be the exclusive home of all AEW programming from November 2026 onwards. The service will stream all episodes of “AEW Dynamite” and “AEW Collision,” as well as broadcasting all of the company’s pay-per-views, beginning with AEW Full Gear 2026 which takes place on November 14. The press release rounded off by stating that more information on the deal will be revealed in the coming weeks.
The news of this deal comes just a few weeks after AEW’s previous streaming deal in Japan with NJPW World ended on August 31. The company’s weekly programming gradually stopped airing on tape delay on New Japan Pro Wrestling’s official service, and the library of all previous TV episodes were also taken down when that deal expired. However, all of the previous instalments of the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door pay-per-views have remained on NJPW World, and will remain there despite the new deal with Hulu Japan. It’s unclear at this time as to whether the next Forbidden Door pay-per-view will appear on both platforms due to NJPW being involved.
Fans in Japan were originally encouraged to sign up to MyAEW following the announcement regarding the end of the NJPW World deal, but now that a new streaming service will carry AEW programming, it’s unclear what the future holds for that service in Japan, especially considering that there were no details regarding AEW’s tape library being available on Hulu Japan.
This deal is the latest move AEW has made when it comes to its international expansion, with the company inking a deal with TOD by beIN at the start of September to bring all of the company’s programming to the Middle East and North Africa.
