AEK Athens intends to join the NBA Europe project, as confirmed from this Greek giant.
While for months there has been speculation about the names of the clubs that would participate in this project, as well as what it will look like, AEK has confirmed that they are ready to participate in NBA Europe.
Athens is certainly one of the cities that is very interesting to NBA league officials, and AEK has bid to be the bearer of Athens’ spot in the competition.
Currently, the Athenians are members of the FIBA Basketball Champions League, and this Wednesday they are expecting their first quarter-final match of this competition against Joventut. As for the Greek championship, they are in third place with a record of 15-6.
