There is much discussion about the future of basketball in Europe and the potential collaboration between the EuroLeague and the NBA.

A board of governors meeting abotu NBA Europe was held, after which Adam Silver, the NBA Commissioner, presented the key points to the public.

“Chus [Bueno] used to be a colleague of mine at the NBA for many years. I think for the better of European basketball, the best outcome would be if we come together with the EuroLeague. And we came up with a systematic approach to growing the game throughout Europe. And that means complementing the country leagues, working together with the EuroLeague, and with the FIBA”.

Silver said there was an update provided by Mark Tatum on NBA Europe during the Board of Governors meeting, but there were no votes. Silver says there has been “enormous enthusiasm” for the project. He also added at the conference that Magic Johnson, one of the greatest players in NBA history, is ready to invest in the Las Vegas franchise, which is eagerly awaiting entry into the league.
