Adam Mokoka, the former two-way contract player of the Chicago Bulls, was the MVP of the EuroCup Finals, leading Bourg to the trophy and also giving them the right to play next season in the EuroLague.
Per the press release: “Adam Mokoka of Cosea JL Bourg-en-Bresse was chosen as the 2026 EuroCup Finals MVP. The award is voted on by the accredited media at the EuroCup Finals. Mokoka led Bourg to its first-ever BKT EuroCup championship by making the game-winning shot at the end of Game 2. With the score tied at 71-71, Mokoka attacked the rim to score the go-ahead basket with 1.1 seconds remaining, delivering one of the most memorable moments in competition history.
Mokoka finished Game 2 with 17 points on 6-of-12 two-point shooting plus 10 rebounds to record his first EuroCup double-double in his 58th game in the competition. He posted a PIR of 19. Mokoka was equally effective in Game 1, when he led Bourg to a 60-72 road win. It was Besiktas’s first home loss of the season after 11 consecutive victories. Mokoka had 14 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists in that game for a PIR of 19.
He ended up leading the EuroCup Finals in scoring (15.5 ppg.) and rebounds (9.5 rpg.) and ranked second in PIR (19.0).
The 27-year-old guard was born in Clergy-Pontoise, France, and started his career with BCM Gravelines Dunkerque. Mokoka also played for Mega Belgrade in Serbia, the Chicago Bulls in the NBA, the Windy City Bulls, Oklahoma City Blue and Austin Spurs in the G League, JSF Nanterre in France, Umana Reyer Venice in Italy and U-BT Cluj-Napoca of Romania, where he made his EuroCup debut in the 2023-24 season. He helped Cluj win back-to-back Romanian League crowns in 2024 and 2025″.
