A pivotal women’s flyweight matchup is slated for September.

Multiple people with knowledge of the promotion’s plans confirmed to MMA Fighting that Casey O’Neill is set to face Eduarda Moura at UFC 331. The event takes place Sept. 19 and at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, with the UFC officially announcing the date and location Saturday.

O’Neill burst onto the UFC scene with four impressive wins, but then lost consecutive one-sided fights to Jennifer Maia and Ariane Lipski. Since then, O’Neill bounced back with back-to-back wins, including a first-round knockout victory against Gabriella Fernandes at UFC Seattle in March — O’Neill’s first fight in nearly two years.

Moura has had an up-and-down run with the UFC for a number of reasons. The 32-year-old is 3-2 in five octagon outings, but has also missed weight three times in her promotional tenure — including in her most recent fight against Wang Cong, where she lost via decision at UFC Vegas 113 in February.

As of now, UFC 331 is without an announced main event, despite the card being less than two months away.
