Patrick Habirora made short work of a legend in the UFC Brussels main event.

“The Belgian Bomber” faced his most accomplished opponent yet on Saturday as he was matched up with former UFC and WEC lightweight champion Benson Henderson. In just his ninth pro bout, Habirora ran through the 42-year-old Henderson, rocking him on the feet with a fast left and finishing on the ground with heavy punches to secure a 20-second knockout.

Henderson successfully defended a couple of Habirora strikes early, but it didn’t take long for Habirora to find the range and tag Henderson’s chin, immediately wobbling the 42-fight veteran. There would be no recovery for Henderson as Habirora landed several powerful follow-up punches to force referee Mike Beltran to step in for the save.

With the win, Habirora improved to 9-0, with five of those wins coming under the PFL banner. This was Habirora’s fourth straight win by first-round knockout and he has only gone to a decision once in his career.

Habirora used his post-fight interview time to praise Henderson and call for a matchup with BKFC star Mike Perry.

Henderson (30-13) competed for the first time since March 2023. With the loss, Henderson likely heads into retirement for a second time.
