British indie band The Kooks will headline the Saturday night entertainment at this year’s BMW PGA Championship, adding another attraction to what promises to be one of the biggest weeks in the UK professional golfing calendar.
The Brighton-formed band’s seventh studio album, Never/Know, reached No.5 in the UK charts last year, while classics such as Naïve and She Moves in Her Own Way continue to attract huge audiences. They will take to the stage at Wentworth Club on Saturday, September 19, following the third round of the championship, which runs from September 17-20.
Last year’s championship sold out across three of the four tournament days, and with demand for tickets expected to equally high this year, fans are being advised to book early to avoid disappointment.
The golf itself is set to be just as compelling, with back-to-back Masters champion Rory McIlroy headlining a strong field, joined by recent BMW PGA champions Alex Noren, Billy Horschel and Ryan Fox over Wentworth’s iconic West Course.
