The bad news continues in Minnesota. Following Donte DiVincenzo’s Achilles tendon rupture, Anthony Edwards will be out of competition for several weeks.

Following a serious fall in Game 4 against the Denver Nuggets, where Minnesota won again and now leads the series 3-1, Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards has sustained a bone bruise and hyperextension in his left knee, according to Shams Charania of ESPN.

He has avoided ligament damage, but will miss several weeks of competition, bad news for the Timberwolves, who are close to reaching the second round in the Western Conference. Nuggets and Timberwolves will face off on Monday night, the 27th, in Game 5, which could be the last game before advancing to the next round.

Anthony Edwards has become the leader of these Timberwolves, who are close to eliminating the Denver Nuggets from the NBA playoffs. Edwards, 24, has averaged 28.8 points, 5 rebounds, and 3.7 assists in the 61 regular-season games he has played.
