Monaco is the last participant in the Euroleague Quarterfinals, having defeated Barcelona 79-70 in the Play-In Final.

This victory secured Monaco a Quarterfinal series against Olympiacos, which will start next week.

After the win Manuchar Markoishvili, the coach of the victorious team, shared his thoughts at the press conference.

“I will start with congratulating to our team, fans and organization, this is a good achievement. This road looked very difficult, even impossible, but with dedication guys kept believing and fighting. I’m really proud of my team, they played high level defense, allowing only 70 points, we made some mistakes, but we never panicked. At the end we made big shots and we won. Now we have even bigger challenge, first Cup, it’s very important for us. After that we will think about Playoffs.”

He also commented on the upcoming series against Olympiacos.

“This is Playoff. We played with Olympiacos almost every year, we know how good they are, they have good roster, we don’t expect nothing easy and we are ready for big series.”

Finally, he was asked whether this is the “last dance” for his team, which has been facing significant challenges recently.

“My last dance? You never know, me personally I don’t take it this way. It’s obvious there will be changes, I don’t think about this. I think what it is today and tomorrow. If this is a last dance, let it be the best one. This is all I’m hoping for, this is what we will work for.”
