Real Madrid struggled to win away in Girona, but Scariolo’s team now has a 22-2 record. Mario Hezonja (19 p.) and Andrés Feliz (17 p.) were the top scorers. Facu Campazzo, Gaby Deck, and Sergi Llull did not play in Round 24.
Real Madrid started the game punishing from beyond the arc (13-22). Otis Livingston led Girona’s comeback in the second quarter to tie it up before the break (36-37).
Scariolo’s team struggled until the very end, with Girona putting up a strong fight in the final quarter. At the end, Real Madrid secured the victory on the road, improving their record to 22-2 and staying on top of the Spanish competition.
Río Breogán and UCAM Murcia secured comfortable victories against BAXI Manresa and Surne Bilbao, respectively. Sito Alonso’s team now boasts a 17-7 record, unstoppable in the ACB.
Covirán Granada struggled but gave their fans a victory against Hiopos Lleida. They only have three wins in the ACB (3-21), but the dream of staying in the ACB is never truly over.
