A new 15,000-seat arena could be built in Berlin’s Adlershof district to support the NBA’s expansion plans in Europe, according to Berliner Morgenpost.

The project is reportedly backed by a U.S. banking consortium and has the support of the city’s Senate.

The proposed venue would serve as the centerpiece of a sports campus within the Adlershof technology park. Alba Berlin could be involved in the planned “NBA Europe” project as part of this broader expansion.

Alba’s management is set to present a feasibility study on Friday to the city’s sports committee. A U.S. banking consortium is reportedly ready to finance the project, which is expected to cost several hundred million euros, while the Berlin Senate is also said to be supportive of the initiative.
