ERIC CANTONA is ready to launch his debut album in a shock career change.

The Manchester United legend, 59, grabbed the headlines during his playing days for the Red Devils and France and enjoyed great success.

He topped the charts when it came to his actions on the park by lifting multiple league titles in England and France and also tasted glory in the likes of the FA Cup.

Cantona also picked up individual accolades including ‘Football of the Year’ and ‘Player of the Year’ so he is used to being top of the pile.

Now he hopes to prove his skills go beyond the grass once more as he aims to turn his passion for music into a chart topping success.

He released his debut EP in 2023 before his successful ‘Cantona Sings Eric Tour’ which played out at venues including Leeds, London, Manchester and the likes of Scotland, France and the Netherlands.

He’s back this time with his debut album ‘Perfect Imperfection’ which contains 11 songs.

Nine of those are written and composed by the man himself.

It is available to pre-order now with a Green Vinyl LP and a CD both up for grabs.

They will come signed by the former United and Leeds United man, who also turned out in France for likes of Auxerre, Marseille and Bordeaux during his playing days.

Sharing the news online, Cantona told his 1.5million Instagram followers: “Discover “On se love”, my new single out now on all platforms!

“This is the first extract of « Perfect Imperfection », my first album studio, available for pre-order. Out March, 13th.

“SIGNED EDITIONS will be available for order exclusively on my online official store.”

On the pitch, his former club are taking off under interim boss Michael Carrick.

They blew open the title race once again as they followed up their derby triumph over Manchester City with a win at table topping Arsenal.
