HARRY KANE squandered the perfect chance to complete another hat-trick – by missing a penalty.
The Bayern Munich striker broke the deadlock against Belgian side Union Saint-Gilloise on 52 minutes in their Champions League clash.
He headed in at the near post from a corner.
Kane, 32, was then fouled in the area and added a second from the penalty spot three minutes later.
And the England captain had a glorious opportunity to make it 3-0 and grab a fourth treble of the season as the clock hit 80 when USG were penalised for a handball.
However, Kane stepped up to the ball, stuttered in his run-up and crashed his effort against the crossbar.

Luis Diaz attempted a diving header on the rebound but the ball was easily caught by goalkeeper Kjell Scherpen.
The commentator said: “You don’t see that very often.
“Harry Kane failing from the spot.
“Off the bar, just a couple of inches too high.”
And the commentator was spot on – unlike Kane.
From the 32 penalties he has taken in his Bayern career, excluding shootouts, he has now scored 30 and missed two.
Ironically, the £410,000-a-week star’s only other previous failure came in a game when he scored twice with one coming from a penalty.
It meant Kane also missed out on the matchball in the nervy 3-2 injury-time cup win over Wehen Wiesbaden back in August.
He famously scored and missed from 12 yards for England in the 2022 World Cup quarter-final exit to France, too.
Vincent Kompany’s side guaranteed themselves a spot in the Champions League last 16 with the win on Wednesday night.
They sit second in the league phase, three points off leaders Arsenal but – crucially – five clear of Barcelona in ninth.
The German giants complete this stage with a trip to PSV next week.
