The Gunners’ 3-1 victory came two weeks after her dad – former Leeds and Wales footballer Terry Yorath – died aged 75 following a short illness.

Logan had been presenting Match of the Day when what was described as a “family emergency” forced her to leave midway through the show.

Now she’s “back in the saddle” and claims that football has been a massive help during the mourning process.

Logan wrote on Instagram: “I won’t pretend [coming back] was easy.

“The last time I was presenting a football show I received a phone call that has rocked our world. So there were unfamiliar nerves and a bit of trepidation travelling to Milan.

“But the @primevideo football family are so lovely and it was, in the end, great to be back doing what I love so much and of course Arsenal gave us a great story to tell.

“In the two weeks since Dad’s passing football really has been a force for good in our lives.

“The community is strong and really shows up when it needs to and we won’t ever forget that.”

The heartfelt message was posted alongside a slideshow of snaps – one of which showing Logan alongside Prime Video pundits Theo Walcott, Clarence Seedorf and Wayne Rooney.

Colleagues Alan Shearer, Rio Ferdinand and Alex Scott all sent their condolences to Logan after Yorath’s passing.

The former gymnast was with her dad the day before he died, talking about their favourite meals as he lay in hospital.

She called him a “warrior on the football pitch” and a “kind-hearted and generous man off it”.

Logan’s latest social media post was flooded with positive comments welcoming her back to the big screen.

She witnessed a brilliant night for Arsenal as Gabriel Jesus netted twice and Viktor Gyokeres found another to seal a handsome win.

Mikel Arteta’s side are now six points clear at the top of the Champions League standings with a flawless record of seven wins from as many games.
