TENNIS star Zeynep Sonmez rushed to the aid of a ball girl who fainted during her opening Australian Open match.
The ball girl fainted by the umpire’s chair as Ekaterina Alexandrova was serving for the second set of the Australian Open match at Melbourne Park.
She fell on her back but managed to get back to her feet.
Sonmez noticed the worrying scenes and immediately rushed to her aid, helping her walk to the side of the court so she could receive medical attention.
The visibly dazed ball girl was eventually helped off the court by the attentive medical team.
Tennis fans around the world hailed Sonmez for reacting so quickly to the girl fainting.

The worrying incident led to a six-minute delay in play.
Temperatures were a blistering 28 degrees Celsius on the first day of the play at Melbourne Park.
The ball girl is understood to have received additional medical treatment on-site before heading home.
World No.112 Sonmez went on to complete a 7-5, 4-6, 6-4 upset victory over 11th seed Alexandrova.
