Three months after re-joining Brave CF following a tumultuous departure from the UFC, Muhammad Mokaev has his first fight scheduled for Dec. 13 against Luthando Biko, promotional officials told MMA Fighting.
Brave CF 91 will be the first leg of a doubleheader at the Khalifa Sports City arena in Bahrain. Brave CF 92 will take place two days later at the same venue.
Mokaev (12-0, 1 no contest) remains undefeated in 36 MMA bouts, both amateur and professional, including seven UFC appearances against the likes of Manel Kape, Alex Perez and Tim Elliott.
The 24-year-old was let go by the UFC due to “so much bad sh*t that happened behind the scenes,” UFC CEO Dana White said at the time.
Biko (12-3) is a two-time EFC champion in Africa, claiming belts at both bantamweight and flyweight. Like Mokaev, he won an amateur title, the 2016 IMMAF African flyweight championship, before turning pro in 2017.
The 34-year-old South African fighter makes his Brave CF debut on a four-fight winning streak. Biko left EFC after winning and defending the 125-pound belt with finishes, and won a pair of decisions since at UAE Warriors and Ares FC.
Brave CF 91 will be headlined by bantamweight champion Nkosi Ndebele defending his title against Nicholas Hwende.
