During Night One of AAA’s TripleMania event, Roxanne Perez won the opportunity to challenge for the AAA Women’s Championship at Worlds Collide on September 26. She defeated Nattie, La Heidra, and Faby Apache. On Night Two, La Catalina defeated Flammer to become the Women’s Champion.
On “Muscle Memory with MuscleManMalcolm”, Perez spoke about what AAA means to her. She started training at 13 and used the years until she was of legal age to be ready. “So when I was 16, I got invited by AAA to come and be a part of it and train there and be a part of their shows. And that was so special to me because that was one of my first opportunities that I got on the indies,” she reflected.
She admits that she wasn’t able to do it because she was so young and her parents wouldn’t allow her to go. Perez said now she’s kicking the door down. She declared, “I’m here and I’m not asking anybody for permission. I’m here and I’m going to take over AAA. Just watch. I’m going to become Reina de Reinas Campeona. I promise.”
