WWE veteran Natalya, who is still portraying her grittier Nattie character as recently as “WWE NXT” Heatwave, wants to be a mega heel at some point in her career. Nattie and Tommy Dreamer discussed her character on “Busted Open After Dark,” where she confirmed that the current iteration of Nattie is not good or bad, just passionate.
Dreamer asked if there was a bitter veteran character that she believes she could pull out to get heat. Nattie said she’d love to be the modern-day version of one controversial WWE Hall of Famer, who was also a promoter and trainer.
“I would love more than anything in the world to be the biggest b**** heel imaginable,” Nattie said. “I absolutely would love that more than anything in the world. Because, who doesn’t want to be a modern-day heel Fabulous Moolah? Where, ‘I run all of this, I control all of you. I’m the biggest b**** in the world.’ I would love to be a mega, mega, mega heel, but the thing is, is that we need all hands on deck to do that, because Nattie’s got the most equity of any woman that’s ever worked in the industry, so that gets very hard if we can’t all come together to do that.”
She explained that it’s difficult because “everyone” needs to be on board, presumably those within WWE creative, as she went on to say if they’re not, she just goes back to Nattie. She said that character is the girl who started out in the Dungeon, who wants to help others find their way in the business, while also reminding everyone of who she is, as she’s not going to be around forever.
