Usman Garuba suffered a complete rupture of his left Achilles tendon, as Real Madrid announced.
The 24-year-old international Spanish center will now undergo surgery in the coming days.
He is missing the rest of the season, and it remains to be seen when he will be back in action. The player was injured at the start of the last quarter in the EuroLeague semifinal game against Valencia and already missed the final against Olympiacos.
Per the press release: “Following tests carried out today on our player Usman Garuba by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with a complete rupture of his left Achilles tendon. Garuba will undergo surgery in the coming days”.
