Unicaja Malaga is intensifying its pursuit of Joel Bolomboy, according to Chema de Lucas.
The 32-year-old center had previously emerged as one of ASVEL Villeurbanne’s targets for the 2026/27 season. However, amid uncertainty surrounding the French club’s project and with several players having already departed, the latest report places Unicaja firmly in contention for his signature.
Bolomboy spent the past three seasons with Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet and averaged 5.5 points and 4.5 rebounds per game in the EuroLeague last season.
The Ukrainian-American big man has made 204 appearances in Europe’s premier club competition across spells with CSKA Moscow, Olympiacos, and Zvezda. He won the EuroLeague title with CSKA in 2019.
