UFC Edmonton officially has 12 more fighters set to compete on the promotion’s return to Alberta, including a one-time flyweight title challenger.
Several new bouts have been announced for the Oct. 17 card, which is headlined by top 15 welterweights Joaquin Buckley and Mike Malott facing off, as well as flyweight contenders Erin Blanchfield and Jasmine Jasudavicius dueling in the co-main event.
Past 125-pound title challenger Katlyn Cerminara (18-6) fights for the first time since March 2024 as she takes on British Columbia’s Jamey-Lyn Horth (9-3). Cerminara (née Chookagian) challenged Valentina Shevchenko for a championship belt at UFC 247 in February 2020, losing to “Bullet” by third-round knockout. She won five of her next eight fights, but is currently on a two-fight losing streak.
Horth has gone 4-3 since joining the UFC in 2023, most recently losing a unanimous decision to J.J. Aldrich this past April.
Alberta’s own Tanner Boser and Melissa Croden receive home dates, with Boser taking on Jhonata Diniz and Croden fighting Chelsea Chandler.
The matchmakers have added even more Canadian content to UFC Edmondon with Quebec’s Mandel Nallo welcoming Nate Landwehr to the lightweight division, and fellow Quebecois fighters Marc-Andre Barriault and Louis Jourdain—the brother of bantamweight contender Charles Jourdain—also in action.
