On Monday, the first round of the European qualifiers for the FIBA World Cup concluded.
Europe will contribute 12 participants to the tournament in Qatar, and for now, 24 teams remain in the competition. Some were known earlier, while others qualified on Monday.
The 24 teams are now divided into four groups of six, carrying over all points from the first group, and they will face a total of six more matches – two against each team they have not yet played. Following that, the top three teams from each group will advance to the FIBA World Cup.
