A bantamweight showdown between former UFC flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo and rising prospect Payton Talbott is targeted for the UFC 332 card on Oct. 3 in Salt Lake City.
MMA Fighting has confirmed following a report from Leo Guimaraes. Both sides have agreed to the match but contracts have yet to be signed. The promotion has yet to announce the headlining attraction for UFC 332, which takes place at the Delta Center.
Figueiredo (25-7-1) has his back against the wall in the UFC after losing his past two in the octagon against Umar Nurmagomedov and Song Yadong. Figueiredo’s sole win over his last five bouts was a split decision against Montel Jackson, which was preceded by defeats to Petr Yan and Cory Sandhagen.
Talbott (11-1) enters UFC 332 looking for his third victory in a row after topping Felipe Lima and former two-division champion Henry Cejudo in decisions in 2025, rebounding from the first loss of his career to Raoni Barcelos earlier that year. The former A1 Combat champion won five of six so far in the UFC.
