Keyshawn Davis called out Devin Haney directly, saying he wants the fight next and questioning why it still hasn’t happened.

Davis said he’s been waiting on the matchup and doesn’t see anything standing in the way except willingness.

“Tell Devin Haney stop playing. Stop being scary. Fight me,” Davis said to the media. “Like, I want to fight you. What we doing?”

Keyshawn is calling out Haney, yet Keyshawn is choosing to stay at 140 lbs for a Nahir Albright rematch on May 16 in Norfolk. Fighting Albright again doesn’t move the needle much for a guy with Keyshawn’s aspirations.

While the official reason for the rematch is to “settle unfinished business,” since their 2023 fight was overturned to a No Contest, it feels like a massive step back after he already handled Jamaine Ortiz at 140 earlier this year.

If Keyshawn truly wants Haney, logic dictates he should be campaigning at 147 and chasing guys like Shakhram Giyasov or top contenders in that division to build a resume that forces a title shot.

Many fans view Keyshawn as having a sense of entitlement. In boxing, you usually earn a shot at a three-weight champion like Haney by becoming a mandatory challenger, cleaning out a division or bringing a massive money fight profile to the table.

Keyshawn is currently doing none of those. By fighting Albright, who isn’t ranked in the elite tier, he’s treading water while demanding a big fight.

“Y’all know how it ends up. Him running around, I’m chasing him, and then me eventually knocking him out. Devin know he can’t beat me,” said Davis.

“It’s up to these promoters whether they want to make the fight happen or not,” Davis said. “At the end of the day, us fighters, the only thing we can do is call fighters out.”

Haney’s eyes are on collecting more hardware at 147 and setting up a potential mega-rematch with Ryan Garcia, who just beat Mario Barrios in February. There is zero incentive for Haney to look back at a 140-pound contender who hasn’t even touched the welterweight rankings yet.
