Ilias Bulaid vs Erick Visconde is off tonight’s Contender Series card.
On Tuesday night, Week 8 of Season 10 of Dana White’s Contender Series goes down at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas, but a last-minute cancellation means the event will only have four fights.
Just hours before Contender Series started, the promotion announced that the featherweight opener between Bulaid and Visconde has been postponed to Week 10 of the show.
Despite successfully making weight yesterday, Bulaid reportedly took ill before the fight, forcing him off the event. Visconde’s coach, Chad George, commented about the change of plans shortly before it was officially announced.
Wow this is fun. Our opponent pulled out to illness 20 minutes before heading to venue for our DWCS fight. Time to make the drive back to LA.
Bulaid is an accomplished kickboxer who previously competed in MMA for Bellator and UAE Warriors, and holds an undefeated 9-0 (1 NC) record. A long-time MMA veteran, Visconde sports a 17-3 MMA record and recently claimed the vacant LFA featherweight title in May.
