Demi Vollering sprinted to her second La Flèche Wallonne Femmes win on Wednesday, after an early attack up the Mur de Huy.
The FDJ United-SUEZ rider might have won, but compatriot Puck Pieterse (Fenix–Premier Tech) came very close to catching her just before the finish line.

It was one of the more exiting climaxes to the La Flèche Wallonne Femmes in recent years, with five previous winners all in contention as a lead pack of 11 riders fought it out over the final two climbs of a course famous for its uphill finish.
