Franz Wagner is uncertain for Game 5 of the series against the Detroit Pistons, because he was diagnosed with a calf strain, reported by Shams Charania.
Orlando Magic are on the brink of a major success, holding a 3-1 lead in the Quarterfinal series against the Detroit Pistons, but a significant problem has arisen before the fourth game.
Wagner suffered an injury during the fourth game against Detroit, and despite stating that he feels good, the German is very likely to miss the fifth game. This is a serious blow for the Magic, who are close to eliminating the top seed in the Eastern Conference.
This injury is just a continuation of problems for Wagner, a young man who won the European Championship in September 2025 but can’t find his rhythm this season. He played only 41 games in the regular season, averaging 19.4 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 3.3 assists. In Game 4, he played only 24 minutes and scored 19 points.
