Former UFC fighter Claudio Ribeiro was arrested Wednesday on a domestic violence charge in Varzea Paulista, Sao Paulo, Brazil. MMA Fighting confirmed the news following a report from Globo.
According to the initial report, Ribeiro allegedly admitted to the police he assaulted his wife following an argument. His wife called the cops after allegedly suffering a broken nose from a punch to the face.
Ribeiro’s team declined comment.
Ribeiro, 13-6 in MMA with a 100 percent knockout rate, fought four times in the UFC for a record of 1-3 between 2023-24, a win over Joseph Holmes sandwiched between knockout defeats to Abdul Razak Alhassan, Roman Kopylov and Christian Leroy Duncan.
The 34-year-old was more active under the Karate Combat banner since late 2025, going 3-0 in the promotion with a trio of knockouts over Jayden Eynaud, Michel Borges and Curtis Millender.
