Sussex’s Lexi Dart sunk a 30-foot birdie putt on the final hole to be crowned the English Women’s County Champion of Champions held at Woodhall Spa’s Bracken Course.
Having shot 75 (+3) on day one, Dart needed to birdie the final hole on day two to win after Morgan Bollan (Cheshire) finished on +6 across her 36 holes. She did so in style, completing a second round 74 to win the title by one shot.
“It’s very exciting and very unexpected to win,” said Dart, who is a member at The Dyke Golf Club in Brighton. “I didn’t really have any goals coming into this other than to enjoy it, which I definitely did. It’s the biggest
