The US State Department’s travel advisory to Saudi Arabia has raised doubts about the country hosting the Crown Jewel PLE.
Crown Jewel is scheduled to return to the Middle Eastern country for the 2026 edition and is set to be held on November 7, 2026. However, following a Level 3 travel advisory issued for the country amid the ongoing conflict with the Houthis, some have wondered if WWE could shift the venue for the show. “WrestleVotes Radio” reported that they contacted a source within the company, who admitted that decisions of that magnitude are above their pay grade but confirmed that the event is expected to go ahead on the advertised date. The report also noted that some parts of Saudi Arabia are under a Level 4 travel advisory.
Last year’s Crown Jewel was held in Australia for the first time in the PLE’s history. Recent reports have revealed that WWE will not lose the money it was due to receive for hosting a show in Saudi Arabia if it moves the venue for this year’s Crown Jewel. The report claimed that WWE could add another event to the Saudi Arabia calendar if it is unable to host the event in the country this November.
