The ABA League has officially postponed the opening round of the 2026-27 season, along with all games scheduled for Week 1 of the ABA League 2.
The decision was approved at a meeting of league members with 11 votes in favor and one abstention. The league added that the public would be informed of the next steps in due course.
As reported by Meridian Sport, Refereeing Commission president Miguel Perez informed the clubs and league shareholders that there were no guarantees that enough referees would be available for the opening-round games.
