Yoan Makoundou is expected to be sidelined for approximately six weeks after suffering an aggravation of patellar tendinopathy in his left knee, the club has announced.
The player will undergo conservative treatment as part of his recovery process, with the aim of allowing the injury to heal without the need for more invasive measures.
Patellar tendinopathy affects the tendon connecting the kneecap to the shinbone and can cause pain and discomfort, particularly during movements involving jumping and repeated physical effort. Makoundou’s recovery will be closely monitored, with his progress determining when he can return to competitive action.
The current estimated recovery period is around six weeks, meaning the team will have to cope without one of its players during the coming weeks.
