MANCHESTER UNITED scored one of the “ugliest goals ever seen” against Wolves – before conceding on the brink of half-time.
The Red Devils travelled to Molineux with the aim of moving up to sixth in the Premier League table.
They got off to a positive start, with captain Bruno Fernandes breaking the deadlock in the 25th minute.
But the goal was far from pretty.
After receiving the ball, Wolves midfielder Andre was caught out in possession by Amad Diallo while facing his own goal, with Matheus Cunha intercepting the subsequent pass forward.
The winger made his way into the box and played a short pass across to Fernandes, who slipped before he could control it.

However, the United captain still managed to get back to his feet and shuffle past Emmanuel Agbadou before sliding his shot into the bottom-right corner.
Wolves goalkeeper Sam Johnstone got a hand to it, but it was not strong enough to keep the shot out.
Boos could be heard around Molineux as Fernandes and Co ran off to celebrate.
Meanwhile, Wolves players stood in disbelief as their season took another embarassing turn.
Fans took to social media to react, with one person writing: “Worst goal in history but who cares!”
Another said: “Contender for one of the ugliest goals ever.”
A third wrote: “Fernandes goal was fitting of both teams.”
While a fourth joked: “That’s Puskas Award worthy from Bruno Fernandes.”
Jean-Ricner Bellegarde went on to equalise for Wolves on the brink of half-time.
However, Bryan Mbeumo made it 2-1 with a tap-in after a United counter-attack.
And Mason Mount added to the goal tally with a composed volley before a Fernandes penalty made it 4-1 with eight minutes left to play.
United took all three points to move to sixth in the Prem table.
