Levan Chokheli could not have started his UFC career off better.

On Saturday, the Georgian fighter made his promotional debut in a prelim bout at UFC Vegas 119. The Bellator veteran was a sizable betting favorite over Leon Shahbazyan in their welterweight fight, and Chokheli looked every bit of that, demolishing Shahbazyan in less time than it takes to order a cup of coffee.

Chokheli came out aggressively and hurt Shahbazyan right away with a calf kick that got “S.O.G.” backing up. Once Shahbzayan got to the fence, Chokheli bombed on him with an eight-punch combination, finishing with a body shot that dropped his overwhelmed foe and forced referee Kerry Hatley to intervene just 23 seconds into the fight.

The win moves Chokheli to 15-3 in his professional career, which includes a 4-3 run through Bellator. Shahbazyan, meanwhile, drops to 12-5 in his MMA career.
