Dillon Danis and Colby Covington are starting the shenanigans early.
The two talkative combat sports personalities were in vintage form Friday at a press conference for RAF 7 in Tampa, Fla. Following an insult-filled presser, Danis and Covington nearly got physical at the faceoff with Danis marching right into Covington’s face with his hands raised.

Little significant contact was made between the fighters as they engaged in some brief handholding before security separated them. After being kept apart, Danis flicked out a few harmless kicks in Covington’s direction, with Covington returning the favor by taking a fighting stance and throwing a feint. The two appeared to be smiling and laughing during the exchange.
Covington, a one-time interim UFC welterweight champion, welcomes Danis to the RAF mats in Saturday’s co-main event.
Neither man is a stranger to generating provocative soundbites and their press conference confrontation quickly broke down into them making juvenile cracks about each other’s family members, with Covington hitting on Danis’ mother and Danis saying he’s been having sex with Covington’s sister.

Should Danis actually make it to fight night, it will be just his third time competing since 2019. The Brazilian jiu-jitsu veteran and former Bellator fighter most recently Misfits light heavyweight champion with a quick submission of Warren Spencer (who entered their contest with a 0-0 MMA record) this past August.
