Issuf Sanon headlines the latest round of Basketball Champions League roster movements, reuniting with VEF Riga as teams across Europe finalize their squads ahead of the Qualification Rounds and the subsequent Regular Season.

The 26-year-old Donetsk native and former Washington Wizards draft pick brings 20 games of BCL experience to the Latvian organization. Although an injury suffered at the end of last season with Slask Wroclaw will sideline the combo guard for several months, his club is fully backing his recovery in hopes he can bolster their backcourt if they successfully navigate the early-season challenge in Samokov.

Fellow Qualifiers contenders from Turkiye heavily reinforced their lineups. Yukatel Denizli made a splash by securing the talents of 26-year-old Ty Brewer to add athletic versatility to their rotation. Not to be outdone, Glint Korfez injected youth into their roster by signing 23-year-old Efe Sarica. The son of renowned coach Ufuk Sarica returns to the Champions League stage, where he previously logged two brief appearances with Darussafaka Tekfen during the 2020–21 season.

Meanwhile, Greek clubs directly entering the Regular Season focused on long-term development. AEK secured a significant future asset by penning Vassilis Ioannou to his first professional contract, a four-year deal with an option for the last season. The 17-year-old wing, who made his BCL debut last year, will spend the 2026–27 season developing on loan at lower-tier side Papagou. Similarly, Peristeri Betsson locked down 20-year-old Christoforos Golantas on a two-year deal, with the prospect heading out to gain valuable playing time with lower-tier club Dafni Dafniou.
