Iwo Baraniewski and İbo Aslan just delivered a late Fight of the Year contender.

At UFC 323 on Saturday, Baraniewski and Aslan put on one of the craziest fights you’ll ever see, clubbing each other for almost 90 seconds before Baraniewski finally mustered up enough sustained offense to keep Aslan down for a first-round knockout. The definitive moment only came after both fighters were knocked down and seemingly on the verge of being knocked out.

Check out the highlight below.

It was Aslan who stumbled first, but he quickly recovered and hammered Baraniewski with a right hand that forced Baraniewski to turtle up in defense against the cage. Even as Aslan continued to land, Baraniewski was throwing counter shots, and soon he landed his own right that took Aslan’s legs out from under him.

Baraniewski pounded away, but Aslan snatched a single leg and somehow made it back up to his feet. They traded more hard punches and Alsan appeared to gain the advantage. Undeterred, Baraniewski weathered the storm and marched forward, eventually finding an opening for a right hand on the money that froze Aslan. Baraniewski followed Aslan to the mat and finished with ground-and-pound to cap off an unreal brawl.

The official time of the stoppage was 1:29 of Round 1.

Baraniewski (7-0) earns his first UFC victory after recently being signed off of Dana White’s Contender Series, while Aslan (14-4) loses his third straight fight.
