UFC heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall appears to be in good spirits despite looking like a character of Michael Jackson’s classic Thriller clip a day after having surgery on both eyes.
Aspinall had his eyes poked in a October fight with Ciryl Gane, which ended in no-contest, and underwent surgery Tuesday in order to get his “vision back to fighting fitness.”
The medical team has yet to determine a potential date for his return to training and octagon competition.

Aspinall (15-3) was victorious in eight of 10 UFC appearances, and both times he left the octagon without the win were due to medical issues. This time, in his return after a 60-second knockout victory over Blaydes, Aspinall suffered multiple eye pokes against Gane at UFC 321.
