Despite the return of key backcourt personnel, including Devon Hall, Fenerbahce Beko suffered a 94–88 defeat against Safiport Erokspor at the Ulker Sports Arena.
Fener received a significant boost in Round 23 of the 2025-26 Türkiye Sigorta Basketbol Super Ligi as Hall and Scottie Wilbekin both returned to the hardwood following extended injury layoffs. Their reappearance provides head coach Sarunas Jasikevicius with much-needed backcourt depth and tactical flexibility as the club enters the season’s home stretch.
With playoff berths already secured in both the BSL and the EuroLeague, the Istanbul outfit’s domestic tally was reduced to 20-3. While the guard rotation regained strength, the frontcourt remains thin with Jilson Bango, Mikael Jantunen, and Nicolo Melli still sidelined, the latter recovering from right foot surgery. The depth chart was further strained for Sunday’s contest as Tarik Biberovic, Khem Birch, Nando de Colo, and Talen Horton-Tucker were all ruled out.
Led by Tre’Shawn Thurman and Langston Galloway, who each netted 20 points, Ufuk Sarica’s side held on down the stretch to improve to 14-9 and bolster their position in a tight postseason race. Fenerbahce captain Melih Mahmutoglu shared a game-high 20 points.
