According to Mundo Deportivo, Ioannis Sfairopoulos and Paolo Galbiati are among the potential candidates to take over Barcelona’s bench at the end of the season.
Pascual took over the Catalans during the season, but somewhat unexpectedly, a separation has occurred. Pascual confirmed on Thursday at a press conference that he will leave Barcelona at the end of the season.
Until now, possible successors mentioned included Ibon Navarro, Vassilis Spanoulis, and even the name of Zeljko Obradović was mentioned, and now there are two new coaches who seem more likely to take over the giant.
Regarding Galbiati, he achieved great results with Trento, and at the beginning of the season, he took over Baskonia, with which he managed to win the Copa Del Rey.
On the other hand, Sfairopoulos is somewhat more experienced, having sat on the bench of Olympiacos, with which he played in the EuroLeague final, then worked in Maccabi Tel Aviv, and his last engagement was with Crvena zvezda, from where he left after two rounds of the EuroLeague season.
