Welterweights Sean Brady and Gabriel Bonfim are set to clash in a five-round main event headed for the Meta APEX in Las Vegas on Nov. 7.
The fight was announced during the UFC 330 broadcast on Saturday.
A constant presence in the welterweight top 10, Brady has anxiously been awaiting his next assignment after he pulled off an impressive and lopsided win over Joaquin Buckley in his last outing in May. Overall, Brady boasts a 19-2 record including wins over Leon Edwards, Gilbert Burns and Kelvin Gastelum.
As for Bonfim, the 28-year-old Brazilian is seeking his sixth win in a row overall while also attempting to climb even further up the rankings. Most recently, Bonfim put on a nearly flawless performance taking out former UFC welterweight champion Belal Muhammad in his first main event.
Now Bonfim takes on Brady with the winner undoubtedly taking another step towards title contention in the always competitive 170-pound division.
With Brady vs. Bonfim booked as the main event, expected more fights to be announced in the coming weeks.
