Crvena Zvezda achieved a significant feat by defeating Monaco (91-79) in Belgrade during the 11th round of the EuroLeague.

After the match, Sasa Obradovic appeared at the press conference, praising Jared Butler’s outstanding performance, who finished the game with 20 points.

The Serbian coach highlighted that he had never seen such a first step.

“Butler still has a lot to learn, but people have now seen his qualities. That first step, I’ve never seen anything like it. He needs to get into shape, a bit of understanding, but he certainly provides some guarantees.”

He also explained what he told the players after the match and jokingly added that Zvezda would be the European champion once all the injured players return.

“I told them to keep emotions out of it. Everyone knows how I left there, how it all came out, I would say undeservedly. I’ll enjoy today and tomorrow, but that’s it, we move on. If we continue like this, there we are, European champions. I know what I have in terms of talent, miracles are possible.”

Crvena Zvezda is on 8-3 score and will visit Valencia in the next round.
