Lithuanian basketball player Rokas Giedraitis, who is currently playing for La Laguna Tenerife, has torn his ACL, the Spanish club announced.
Giedraitis was injured during the semi-final match of the Final Four Basketball Champions League in Badalona, where his team played against BC Rytas.
The Spanish club also addressed the injury on social media.
“Rokas Giedraitis underwent medical tests this morning following the bad fall he suffered in yesterday’s Basketball Champions League semi-final against Rytas Vilnius, which have confirmed that he has a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee. Much strength, Rokas! We are with you!”
Giedraitis played 13 minutes before the injury, scoring two points and grabbing four rebounds in his team’s loss.
Tenerife will play for third place against Unicaja on Saturday (17:00 CET), while the grand final featuring Rytas and AEK will start three hours later.
