Aris came out on top in the third game of the Cyprus tournament, defeating Crvena Zvezda 98-74.
The Greek team found the consistency and scoring balance needed to secure the victory, while the Serbian side endured a difficult afternoon both on the scoreboard and on the injury front.
Jeremiah Robinson-Earl was the standout performer for Aris, leading all scorers with 24 points and playing a key role in his team’s offensive success. His contribution was complemented by Matt Morgan and EJ Liddell, who added 18 and 15 points respectively to give Aris three reliable scoring options throughout the game.
For Crvena Zvezda, it was a night to forget. The Serbian side struggled to find offensive answers, with Tyson Carter (10p.), Chris Jones (12 p.) and Johnathan Motley (13 p.) as the only players with ten or more points. The lack of scoring production ultimately proved costly as Aris gradually took control of the contest. The defeat was made even more painful by an early injury to Semi Ojeleye. The forward was forced out after just 1:15 on the court, adding another concern to an already difficult outing for the Serbian team.
