President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met Shaquille O’Neal on Tuesday in Istanbul, in one of the most unexpected crossovers ever.
The meeting took place on the court at the Turkcell Basketball Development Center, the home arena of Anadolu Efes, with the duo posing for photos in an informal tone.
Opened in late 2024, the Basketball Development Center is owned by the Turkish Basketball Federation (TBF) and is also home to men’s and women’s national teams in all age groups.
This is not the first time that O’Neal has visited Turkey, since in recent years he has appeared as a DJ both in Istanbul and Antalya.
