Alves, 16, has made six appearances for the U17s and scored two goals

He scored in the win over the Danes and also donned the armband for the 3-0 win over Andorra in October.

But his future could lie away from Spain on the international stage due to his father’s heritage.

FINAL CONTDOWN

Antonio Conte’s Napoli future plunged into doubt after shock statement

He is of course, the son of Real Madrid legend Marcelo.

The iconic defender wore the armband for Brazil in their opening game of the 2018 World Cup finals.

He also captained Los Blancos for the 2021/22 season following the exit of Sergio Ramos.

Marcelo boasts a remarkable trophy cabinet from his stellar 19-year career in senior football.

He helped the Spanish giants win six LaLiga titles and the Champions League five times as well as many more trophies.

The full-back joined Real Madrid back in 2007 after breaking through at Brazilian club Fluminense.

Fans have spotted the potential in Marcelo’s son’s career and reacted on social media.

One posted: “Legacy continues next generation rising strong.”

A second wrote: “He’s already a legend… Marcelo is a king in football.”

A third commented: “This is serious.”

Alves may be playing for Spain at the moment but he is still eligible to play for Brazil like his father.

Fifa rules allow players to switch their international allegiance and national team if they have not played in more than three senior and competitive games before turning 21.
