Cris Cyborg has another shiny gold belt for her collection.
In the co-main event of PFL Lyon on Saturday, Cyborg snatched a submission in the third round to put away a game Sara Collins and become the league’s inaugural featherweight champion.

Afterwards, the legendary Cyborg (29-2, 1 NC) used her post-fight interview time to declare that she plans to compete in MMA one last time in 2026. As for who could be her final opponent, Cyborg first suggested past Bellator contender Leah McCourt before also mentioning her interest in rising star Dakota Ditcheva.
Ditcheva is currently one of the faces of PFL, having stormed to the top of its flyweight division with a flawless 15-0 record and numerous highlight-reel knockouts along the way. Should that option become realistic, Cyborg mentioned the possibility of meeting at a catchweight, perhaps coming down to 140 pounds or slightly lower. Cyborg twice competed at 140 pounds for the UFC back in 2016 before returning to her natural weight class of 145 pounds.
Saturday’s win was vintage Cyborg as she pressured the far less experienced Collins (6-1) early, handily winning the striking battle through the first five minutes. Collins, a judo expert, managed to get the fight to the ground in Round 2, but Cyborg’s grappling proved more than enough to nullify Collins’ offense and bring the fight back to the feet.
The bout returned to the ground in Round 3, but Collins was overly aggressive going for a scarf hold, leaving an opening for Cyborg to counter and take her back. She secured the fight-ending rear-naked choke 2:55 into the third round.
Cyborg previously held a PFL Super Fights title at 145 pounds, but is now officially the league’s featherweight champion. She adds to an enormous list of accolades that also includes titles in UFC, Bellator, Strikeforce, and Invicta FC.
