Zuffa Boxing has now put real shape around its long-teased entry into the sport, confirming the full three-fight lineup for its debut show, Zuffa Boxing 01, scheduled for January 23 at the UFC Apex.

The card was confirmed via the promotion’s official X account and will stream live on Paramount+ beginning at 9 p.m. ET. All three contests are slated for ten rounds, a clear signal that Zuffa is aiming for television-ready fights rather than developmental filler.

The main event pairs Irish junior middleweight Callum Walsh against veteran Mexican puncher Carlos Ocampo. Walsh enters unbeaten after 15 fights and remains one of the more tightly managed prospects in the division. Ocampo, a familiar name to elite opposition, brings durability and power that should clarify where Walsh actually sits when rounds stretch and resistance holds.

The co-main features Olympic bronze medalist Misael Rodriguez against Austin Deanda. Rodriguez has been searching for a defining professional foothold since turning over, while Deanda has built a reputation as a willing, physical opponent. It is the type of matchup that quietly determines whether an Olympic credential translates beyond marketing.

Opening the broadcast is a junior middleweight meeting between Julian Rodriguez and unbeaten puncher Cain Sandoval, who has stayed busy and aggressive over the past year. For Sandoval, it is a step into controlled exposure. For Rodriguez, it is an early test against momentum.

The stripped-down format mirrors the Apex model Zuffa knows best. No excess. No filler. Just enough structure to see how this promotion intends to operate once the bell rings.

Walsh’s most recent outing did little to advance that narrative. His ten-round decision win over Fernando Vargas on the Canelo-Crawford undercard last September was functional but unspectacular, drawing a muted reaction from viewers who expected a sharper statement on such a large stage.

Reaction online reflected that disappointment, with some questioning whether Walsh’s development is keeping pace with his exposure. The Ocampo fight offers a chance to reset those impressions under conditions where rounds and resistance will again be the measure.
