The former Real Madrid coach is expected to take over in Malaga after the end of the Turkish season

With Ibon Navarro reportedly heading to Crvena zvezda Meridianbet after four successful years at Unicaja, the Spanish club appears to have already identified its next head coach.

According to Meridian Sport sources in Barcelona, Pablo Laso is the leading candidate to replace Navarro in Malaga.

The veteran coach won two EuroLeague titles, six Spanish League championships, and six Copa del Rey trophies during his highly successful spell with Real Madrid.

Laso is currently coaching Anadolu Efes in the Turkish League semifinals against Fenerbahce. However, barring any unexpected developments, he is expected to take charge of Unicaja once the season concludes
